Research Interests

My research is interested in the politics of development and how actors across scale – from multinational corporations to movements for food sovereignty – shape foodways, agricultural technologies, and environments. A core focus of this work has been on the development, contestation, and regulation of genetically engineered crops. I explore these themes ethnographically in Ghana, and on the African continent more broadly through interdisciplinary collaborations.

More information about my research can be found on my website.
